Ten years ago, the Lord put a missionary call on my life for the country of Mexico. From that time until now, my wife Catherine and I have been preparing for a life of missionary service. We have three wonderful children: David, who is five years old, Jonathan, who is three years old and Olivia, who is one year old. Both Catherine and I are graduates of North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. I graduated with a degree in Cross Cultural Studies and Catherine graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. We have been active in ministry in Latin churches serving in a number of different areas. I have had the opportunity to work as an interim pastor at two different churches; I have also been involved in Christian education and church planting. The Lord has given my wife Catherine the ability to sing and play the keyboard, and Catherine has also worked as a licensed teacher in the state of California.
We both have had the privilege of working as public school teachers for two years in the city of Coachella, CA. It was during this time that the Lord provided a large financial miracle that allowed us to pursue our calling into missions. During our time as teachers we purchased a house in the hopes that in maybe seven to ten years the house would appreciate enough to be able pay off our many school loans. But the Lord's timing is much quicker then ours; in just a year and a half the house grew in value three times the amount need to pay off our debt. With the extra money we were able to purchase a much needed mini van which we were able to use to travel across the country to raise our missionary budget.
We have now raised our budget and we have recently arrived in Oaxaca where we are begging our work as church planters. This is truly an exciting time for our family; please keep us in your prayers.
